SPECIMEN DONATIONS

The Florida State Collection of Arthropods (FSCA) has grown from its beginnings in the early 1950s to be among the top 10 arthropod collections in the United States. A large part of this phenomenal growth has been due to the Research Associate Program and the resulting enthusiastic support by hundreds of private collectors throughout the nation and overseas. The FSCA can accept the donation of legally sourced specimens and actively works with donors so that the donations benefit the FSCA, the donor, and future generations of students. Donors may use such donations as a charitable donation for tax purposes within the US. Receiving, acknowledging, and coordinating donations and donation-related matters is the responsibility of the head curator.
